Hi, I'm Zara. Welcome to my online portfolio: a collection of my work in marketing, web design, and other creative endeavors. Additonal letters of reference, certification of awards, and design work are currently available in hard copy.
Biography
After three and a half years at the University of Texas at Austin, I graduated with honors in Advertising. During my time as a student, I took on many roles in the competitive world of marketing at internships including newspapers, magazines, radio stations, and the sales divisions of well-established small companies and non-profits.
After graduation I immediately began exploring my passion for online marketing and web design. During my time as a marketing analyst and assistant to the marketing director at Richlund Ventures, Inc., a Top 500 Retail Web Site (Internet Retailer Magazine), I aided the company in achieving its highest online revenue record to date. Since then I went on to co-found USVetSpace.com, a social networking site for US Veterans where I also headed the marketing department. The site accumulated over 240 members in the first 14 days of launch.
Folowing that, I worked as part of a small, rennaissance-style eCommerce team at CampusTech.com, where I troubleshooted and implemented programming code, design ideas, and search engine optimization efforts.
I went on to be the first director of the Search Engine Optimization department for the digital marketing agency Leverage Marketing, where I managed national client accounts in online marketing and reputation management.
Currently, I am a graduate student pursuing my MBA in Digital Media Management at St. Edward’s University. Since my introduction to the world of business strategy and digital media, I have found that it is a field of constant evolution and new challenges. As someone who was brought up in four different countries and three different continents, I have learned to thrive through adaptation and am eager to expand my knowledge and expertise in this fast-paced and pioneering industry.
Please feel free to explore my site and download my resume, and email me with any questions or comments. Thank you for your consideration of my work, and I hope to talk to you soon!
Sincerely,
Zara
